Working in the children's mental health field, I feel like I am hyper aware to all the tell-tale signs of declining mental health in people and can be quick to worry about others. Loss of interest, lack of motivation, start to disengage from 'others', don't see the point anymore, lack of eye contact (my blog couldn't face the other more 'active' bloggers), worrying about what other's think, can't see the top from the bottom, feelings of over-whelmedness (my word!), poor organization... Etc. Etc. Well. I think I can officially say that my so called 'home' blog was depressed. She was lack lustre. Borderline boring. All over the place. Kept posting that she was gunna 'quit'. Oh God another quote on a sweet picture (this is from Rose Blanche - an amazing area just down the way from where you take the Newfoundland ferry, Port Aux Basque). Ya ya. It's cheesy but you know what? It is completely in sync with what I wanted to post about today. Somewhere along the way I lost my ability to blog. I started to feel like nothing was 'blog worthy'. My weird little apartment is never quite right, so I don't write about it. I am trying to save money and don't have room for much in here, so I don't blog about it. I do not go into home decor stores often anymore because I don't want to dangle that carrot in front of my face, so that doesn't get blogged about. So if you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, I have alluded to the fact that I am about to get a new place - a very small, quaint studio apartment - but my own place. It took awhile to find something that was just right and dog friendly and in the west end and 'me'. I have very specific ideas of what I can and cannot live in. Oh did I mention my budget? That was also a limiting factor. Frig rents are CRAZY pants in Toronto. I looked for weeks and weeks and finally a perfectly located studio came onto my radar. I saw it immediately. The landlord likes dogs, but not "small yappy ones" - phew!
