Things are sort of in a flux around here with me starting back to work and trying to maintain blogging – thus the blog has been a little topsy turvy lately! In keeping with this topsy turvy, unpredictable pattern (pretty sure that is an oxymoron), I am throwing a DIY roundup, gems of the week out there on a WEEKEND! I am just crazy like that – not really… But I am craving some DIY action and feel like I may not be the only one with the DIY itch…Enjoy cream of the crop, the top dogs and otherwise awesome do it yourself projects I have found this week! DIY Gems: The Weekend Edition:
I love the idea of getting organized with something simple like rows and rows of hooks! Great for big, small and everything in between. Inspiration spotted in Country Living.
If you were feeling like you wanted to spice things up a little from the above project, you could paint the hooks like Style At Home did.
Simple, fun Ikea hack!!! This would be fabulous in a children’s playroom or in a crafty room – taped table. A plethora of fun awaits, spotted on Lady Crossiant.
Old drawers turned floating cupboards/storage! Ideal – fun vintage ‘look’ and you are re-purposing = yeah! Spotted on Koreana’s Flickr account.
Could totally make one of these little exploding bicycle with flowers displays! Spotted on Alice B’s Garden Flickr account.
Brick bookends! Fun, affordable idea. Spotted on Design*Sponge.
This one is rapidly making it’s way around the internet right now – ‘wallpaper’ your door, aka cover it in fabric which is removable, so fab for renters who want to spruce up their place but can’t do anything ‘too’ permanent! Spotted on How About Orange.
Oh my gosh, don’t let your children, partner, dog or cat see this one – or else you will never escape the “you have to make it for me” looks you will get…DIY BEAN BAGS! Spotted on So You Think You Are Crafty.
These mini polaroid magnets would be for a kick ass gift for someone – prepare to get crafty folks. Spotted on Ambrosia Girl.
Am always looking for a new way to use books – book art wall! Spotted on Paper N Stitch Blog.
Inspired by a suitcase full of fun that you can buy on Playful Learning, I really feel like you could whip these up for your own kids for roadtrips, visiting relatives or for an activity at a party with families attending. They would go down a treat for sure…. Well worth all the work.
So I hope that gets you started this weekend! Now, get on’er!Pin It
