Admission: I suck at being productive

I know we all go through it in ‘real life’ and in blogging sometimes, but I have some serious problems with being productive. Between making coffee, changing, walking the dog, making a bite to eat, taking a phone call, walking the dog and making a new pot of coffee – I don’t always get much done…And I haven’t even ventured into the e-distractions yet:

bermudatriangle1 1024x768 Admission: I suck at being productiveThis just about sums up my blogging ‘life’ right now. Is it a life? What the hell do I call it? My on the side blogging? My secret online life that I don’t tell new people I meet about? (I don’t by the way, is that odd? Sort of, I think). I found this GREAT Irish illustrator designer tonight – she created this awesome illustration. Go check out her work, I laughed a lot reading through her archives.

Her triangle doesn’t even include the perils of Pinterest.

When I am obsessing over searching for the perfect dog to adopt, I am spending a heck of a lot of time losing my life to the internet. Thanks blogging.

Believe me, we all go through this phase – so nothing to worry about;-)

You are not alone! I call it the rabbit hole… My biggest concern, and it really is a concern, is the enormous amount of time spent in front of the screen, sitting. I try to get up and move around, but when you take a sweep of time spent sitting overall, it’s not good. I just saw – on Facebook (go figure!) – a quick post saying that sitting is as detrimental to your health as cigarettes. It affects circulation (no brainer), increases levels of cholesterol, and risk for diabetes… to name just a few. So my pact is to get that exercise piece in there much more deliberately… gotta figure out how to run and blog at the same time! ;-)

It does take up a tremendous amount of time. I’ve stopped watching TV because of it.

I also gave up cable as the internet started claiming all my free time. Although now and then I stream some TV show to take some time off from blogging!
