Winter Warmers

It’s snowing outside – finally – we haven’t gotten much snow in Toronto this winter which freaks me right out. ***NOTE: yup, the snow is now gone. DUH! Should have posted it immediately!***

I know it is incredibly cliche to point out but I am going to say it anyways…. I don’t remember winters like this when I was kid – every winter we had so much snow I remember building 7 foot snow castle/houses.  Tunnels, exterior slides and caves. Phenomenal memory. The most we have had this year? A few inches. Maybe.

Last year in Northern Ireland I experienced winter of a totally different variety – a bizarre frost frozen world. I loved taking the dog out in the frost encrusted world and seeing the trees and grass covered in a thick layer of bizarre Irish frost (it is like nothing else I have ever seen in Canada).

So now that it’s snowing let’s talk winter warmers!

B’s Dad’s Hot Toddy Recipe:

  • Irish Whiskey
  • Hot {boiled} water
  • Spoonful of honey
  • Large chunky slice of lemon
  • 5 cloves

Honestly this hot toddy is a life saver – it is delicious and such a relief if you are suffering from a cold.

Now for some winter warming spaces
