Show off! Show off! Show off! It’s our weekly love for this week’s Do It Yourself wonders, time to show off, round ‘em up and take our virtual hats off to them. Clap for them, go to their blogs, leave nice comments, try the projects yourself or just enjoy the ride. This weekly event is one of my favourites as it allows me to spend extra time ogling at all the amazingly talented people who are out there and see what they are doing.
The blogger who did this sweet little DIY porcelain job used a porcelain pen she bought at Michael’s (North American craft store) and hand painted her pieces and baked ‘em up! Spotted here. Don’t know if I am creative enough to do it, but I am sure they are plenty out there who could!
And here is another porcelain pen job well done:
Cute! Spotted here.
Spotted this nice painted side table by Cindy here via Design*Sponge. If you look at her post she actually first put embossed white paper on the drawers, which I liked – but then she switched up for something a little spicier! Very cute.
What would happen if the Row House Nest didn’t include some sort of Pallet DIY project every week? The world would crumble, likely! Here is another cool pallet project, shelving! Rustic, handy and simple enough to do yourself. Spotted here.
This one is for the sewers and crafty folks – a little picnic kit tutorial! So cute and what a great way to store your picnic goods. Would also be great for camping. Spotted here.
Is it just me or does everyone wish they could learn how to make a proper teepee? I am not just talking about all the readers with little kiddies, everyone!?! Awesome, detailed tutorial on how to make the above beauty any old time. Spotted here.
Doesn’t have the time to source and locate an authentic vintage French sign? Make your own! Just like that – printable transfer spotted here.
Painted wallpaper – zany yes… has so much potential! Imagine the possibilities with this one… DIY pattern to look like wallpaper. Reminds me of an old ladies wool blanket! Spotted here.
A rolling outdoor cart! Great idea for brining out drinks, delicious goodies and anything else that you want really, spotted here.
Here is a fabulous update by Kate at Centsational Girl – she took an old dresser and made it into this lovely, crisp nursery piece! Check out what it use to look like and get some tips on painting furniture here.
The original post for this DIY project was “office lamp prettified” and really that’s exactly what it is! Pink isn’t really my thing but straight away I imagined this in a dark colour or even white – would look great and adds a feminine touch to a room. Spotted here.
