Recently I spotted a vintage bamboo style magazine rack. I didn’t buy it. I regret it, heavily. Ever since than I have been noticing how much I like the’look’ of bamboo inspired pieces – the old school kind, where the bamboo stocks are fashioned into elegant furniture pieces. Not sure why but whenever I see a piece of bamboo furniture or housewares I think elegance, maturity, sophisticated. Something graceful and quiet about bamboo – like a giraffe. Under stated. Quietly there. I went in search of some pieces to share with you.
Garden set, spotted here but from Coastal Living Magazine apparently.

Love this white faux bamboo cabinet. Could live in my house any day. Spotted here.
So it is just me, or is bamboo right in the right space? I definitely noticed a trend that painted bamboo seems a lot more fresh and is a great way to add a splash of colour to a room.
